I read where legislation has just passed , one creating the ability for satellite tv to broadcast into white zones, where no HD signal is available. I live in one of those areas. I do get CBS but no other networks. In talking to tv stations in our area, it doesn't look like they will be going digital anytime in the near future. Does anybody have any speculation about time frames.

My guess 6 months till the FCC creates the rules. Theres significantly viewed too, where some grade B subs will be able to get their home DMA plus surrounding ones just like cable does.

more news by summer. this may push locals to go digital..........

If you qualify, you can get the major networks' east coast or west coast feeds (in HD when applicable, i.e. a show that is actually offered in HD). You can find out if you automatically qualify by punching in your address here: http://directvdnseligibility.decisionmark.com/app/AddressEntry.asp

Whatever networks list their status as "Eligible" are feeds you can obtain immediately ($1.99/mo per feed).
