My problem is probably simple but I'm confused. I have a regular 102ml dish with duel lnb, connected to a 301 and a 510dvr. I just installed a cable modem for the internet and had to use one of the outside connections. I thought I could just split the one connections inside, but when I do neither receiver can find a signal. My house is new and was pre-wired in every room, video, audio, phone etc. but only two inputs outside for cable. Any suggestions?

I didn't know we measured dishes in milliliters, or that LNBFs were fighting with each other. :D
But anyway, Welcome aboard! :)
To get to your question, i don't have enough info to answer specifically, but basically, EVERY receiver needs at least one unsplit cable feed back to the dish/switch. Cable modems also do not like to share wire with other services.
I'm guessing your new house's wiring was done by the typical ignorant electrician, but maybe you're lucky and have stuff you can actually use. Sorry to be so negative, but electricians should stick with what they know - which is white wire, black wire, and sometimes a red wire.
This being said, there are ways to share - but it takes a real pro.

Just use a high quality diplexor to add the dish and cable to the same line and then another diplexor inside to split the cable and dish signals apart where needed.
Run a new cable for your modem
