Are you experienced? (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?p=339742#post339742)

Check out the last post. Tell the truth & the forum Nazi's get you. I was just telling a true story.
I don't hate Dish, I wanted to try them. I can however finally understand why so many people trash now though.

Enough with this already. If you have something constructive to say, then say it. Otherwise, stop with the attacks.

What do you expect, you tried to go against the self named "811 Guy!" who happens to be a moderator, along with everyone else in that forum who loves Dish Network. If you don't like Dish Network, and the people who love their service, then stay out of that forum.

Actually that forum was for General Dish concerns right?

Here is what happened at work today. There is a guy there who has Dish & a giant Mitsu Tv, home audio etc. He always brags about Dish to me. How I should switch. I've been talking to him on & off about it. So today he asks, "Hey did you get Dish hooked up yet?" So of course I told him the whole story. He says, "I can't believe that, they treat me great & hook me up. I don't have the extended warranty & whenever I have a problem they let me send my recievers back & send me new ones." My reply, "I've never had to send a Directv reciever back."

Maybe that conversation is Direct vs Dish in a nutshell....?

To Dish's credit two different QA guys have already contacted me. Maybe others here settle for lousy service, not me. I work hard to afford what I can & need the best. I just wanted others in my position to know how Dish operates. Who knows, maybe these new Dish QA guys can correct some things. I'm willing to work with Dish, maybe they can pull a rabbit out of their hat?

I have to say, it is kind of disturbing that a moderator would shut down a thread because he didn't like what was being said. A lot of the threads in this forum (and many other forums I've seen) exist simply to allow people to gripe and vent. I think closing the thread was a bit of a stretch of that mod's authority.

At least it was "against his better judgment", though...

I agree. In addition, I thought it was odd that the Mod went on to do the very thing he closed the thread for.

I'd have to agree. The DISH-hating gets annoying and this same stuff has already been hashed out by the same user at the other site.

I wouldn't post this in so many threads if I didn't have restart all my closed ones!

Geez, this board is Dish sensitive. The truth & nothing but the truth fellas. Sorry you guys might be Dish employees or whatever. It's like Dish is being "protected". It's sad Dish's service can't defend itself.

The minority must be protected. Isn't that the way it always happens? Look, people like Dish, as many of those people have never tried anything other then cable. They have certainally never tried DirecTV, and they think Dish is the best service of all time because it beats cable. I run into what you experienced all the time. The Dish lovers always will try to make DirecTV, and now Voom look bad, and they can't stand it when someone like you stands up for another company or says something bad about their beloved service. I am not an employee of any satellite company and never have been. I commend you for telling the truth, it just may have not been the right place to do so. you will lean, it just takes time. :)

It's always the right place.

To Dish's credit they are following up on things.

I gotta agree with you on this. I looked at the threads (plural). I know Dish-bashing gets to be a sport after awhile. I have Dish and prefer the service to the alternatives. I know Dish has shortcomings (and yes, that probably could get underlined and put in bold too), but think they have improved over the past 3 years - especially in the area of customer service. They still have a lot of room to improve. But just repeating an attack doesn't serve anyone's best interest.
