What happened to Family Hour on TV??

It's been several TV seasons since anyone has paid attention to that so-called family hour. The networks never did like the concept and, as time went by, they simply started ignoring it. Check the primetime listings for the broadcast networks at 8 PM each night and you will see that many programs would not have been slotted at that hour when the family hour was being enforced.
