View Full Version : Dish Tech Support Hold Times

I've been trying to get a hold of tech support due to a 921 problem and can't get through. I've tried calling several times and have been on hold for as long as 90 minutes then I hung up. I don't have time to sit there on hold like that. I've called them before and never had to hold longer than 10 minutes. Anyone else having this issue?

The only times I've ever called, I only had to hold long enough for the "may be recorded" speech before someone picked up.

Besides, that's what our 921 forum is for! :)

I was going to mention it there but I don't think the 921 forum would much help in this situation. No one else is complaing about what I am seeing. There is a come and go brightness issue with mine. Something in it is hosed and I'm pretty sure it needs replaced. I'll try calling again tonight and see what happens. Maybe they are backed up from all the new equipment purchased as X-mas presents.

Are you sure it's not your TV flaking out?

I called today and experienced longer wait times than I've ever had with them. Even got kicked off once before anyone answered. My wait time was probably 15 minutes each time. Their credit card system was down earlier. Add that to the people calling about the price increase, and that probably explains some of the additional wait time.

No, it's not the TV. It is down a coupla clicks on brightness and, sometimes, if I go into the guide, the brightness will come back. You can actually see it just brighten up. Exit the guide and it will be ok for a while then gets darker again. All other inputs are fine. DVD, local OTA air antenna that is not hooked to the 921, 501 receiver, etc.
