A 921 at a $200 discount off of what price? $549?

Gee, Directv throws the same J.D. Powers number around. Wonder how 2 companies are number 1 especially with so many upset customers.

DirecTV was named number 1 in 2002 & 2003. DISH was named number 1 in 1999, 2000 & 2004.

And they made number 1 in 2004 by three points!

Who wants to bet they wont get it next year? I guess it depends on who gets surveyed.

Why would a CSR refer to their competetor as "Direct?" Sounds a bit fishy to me.

Too many grammatical errors to count in this run-on sentence. Ever heard of semicolons, commas, and periods?

Please call our Customer Service Center at 1-800-333-3474 at your convenience ask them about our 921 special.

Conjunction Junction, what's your function? Where's the obligatory "and" in this sentence?

We have also won the JD Powers award for our excellent opportunity we give our existing customers with upgrades and promotions.

Why is there no possessive to refer to JD Power's award? It is JD Power and Associates, no?

Sounds like Dish's CSRs could use a lesson in grammar.

And why is this in the DirecTV forum?

Those JD surveys aren't always indicative of the product. With all the complaints on here of Dish's poor quality just remember this forum is mostly made up of people who are tech junkies. (not me so much maybe) The average consumer probably thinks it's Ok for a reciever to reboot once a day & miss recordings. After all aren't all computer type mahines buggy.

Also, Buick has won the JD survey. Why?? Because most Buick owners are old people who don't drive more than 50 miles from home at more than 40 mph. No wonder their cars don't break.

Though I will say Adelphia cable being ranked last is no surprise.

I don't care what ranking they got with JD, its irrelevant to me. I think they're customer service stinks, services are becoming overpriced, and they have made a mess of things discriminating against some locals being on 61.5 then telling customers they don't need it.

Now all customers will have to pay for Dish to comply with the FCC on all locals coming from 1 satellite location or 1 dish.

I have always thought the JD Powers award is sold to the highest bidder.
