I have been reading this forum alot and tried all of the fixes but here is my story.
Just installed my new 921, activated it and scanned for all DTV stations. (Philly area). Everything worked great Monday night. I tested all the tricks with local OTA HD stuff and everything worked great. That night I setup to tape HBOHD Tombstone and checked on it to make sure it was taping. It was.
The next morning my wife turned on the rec. and all she got was guide and no pic. When I retunred home from work I did the unplug rick to reset it. It would just freeze on the local OTA stations. I tried to switch check but it was painfully slow to get to the screen and do the check. After several attempts I was able to retunr the unit to factory defaults, and after a few reboots got the guide and picture working fine with no OTA's. I tried to rescan for OTA's and it would just sit at channel 2 with no progress. After several more switch checks, reboot etc... I still get nothing.
I know the antenna is working properly because I reconnected my 811 an everything is fine. I called CS and they had me do everything again, no luck. They said they would forward my problems to the "engineers" and get back to me in 24-48 hours.
Anyone think of anything else I can do or did the OTA tuner die?
Another ? is how stable is this unit when functioning to be the main receiver in the house? (No flames please)
