95/101 dish

Having problems locating the 95 bird. Can you recognize the 95 using the DirectV D10 receiver? I am using the 35"/31" direct dish

Ya, the D10 is the only reciever that has come out with the support for 72.5/95 already built in (others need to take firmware upgrades). Make sure you are using FSS LNBs and that FSS is in the middle.

My installers had cheap in-line signal meters and could not determine if it was 95 they had locked. They came back the next day with a better signal meter and had no problem. Unless you have your own Birddog or similar signal meter, call a professional installer.

Also, as I have noted on other threads, when you run the Autodetect for selecting the dish type and multiswitch, all STB's connected in your system must be tuned to channel 100 or 201. (I still have not heard an explanation for this.)
