It looks like D* is going to give the E* 522 some competition. I hope the software is less buggy and there is a patch for the phone line requirement. I have had many an install for customers (D*& E*) that are cell phone only!! Just try and activate a TiVo (you can't) or 522 (you can, then it gets buggy'er) without a phone line connected :icon_stup
Sorry, I am not a fan of the "dual tuner" idea. More work, More materials, More problems...Same pay :bang

With all that expansion, I'd think Directv would be the one announcing price increases. Looks like they are moving right along with HD.

They have announced one just not the amount and when. But it is coming. Look up above and you will see an article about one coming.

Maybe DirecTv realized that its not smart to announce a price increase too far in advance and the amount of that price increase.
