What is the XBOX mod chip?

What does the mod chip do for the XBOX? Have never heard of a moded XBOX

I think it allows you to play games that you burned to dvd's and cd's that you got off of the internet and gives you extra functionality.

if u mod your xbox you will be able to back up all your games to dvdr and play them. also you can add a bigger hard drive. and install stuff on to it.

I have a 200 gig hard drive for sale $89 us dollars will be willing to do a deal with the chip so if anyone wants both let me know. will take i will take $130 for the x3 and hd

I remember them saying such things on TechTv a while back. Its pretty neat that you can store all of those games that you bought (cough) or maybe didnt buy and put all those on your hard drive so you dont have to load each game every time. They said that was a benefit of storing them on the hard drive, there are all there at your own convenience (kind of like VOD in what television is becoming).

yes its great just slap a mod chip in the unit add a hard drive and then u got a MINI PC its crazy stream video and more

I dont know dssturbo1, I just heard about it on TechTv - The Screen Savers before. I wouldn't think it would be the same thing seeing how you are not hacking programming to get it free, just modifying it to do more functions on it. Now if someone were to download games off of the internet (if they could even be found) that plays in the XBox and burned them to cd/dvd to play in the XBox then that would be bad.

I have never even had an XBox, know a few that have but never seen them do a mod on them. I think it would be neat to be able to surf the net with an XBox and use it for DVR functionality as well as I heard a while back that Microsoft may add that functionality to the XBox's or maybe to a future version of them.

The x3 xbox chip holds no code u need to flash it with a cd that u find on the web. so its not straight up letting u play BACK UP GAMES
