Fax is not a good idea, as you will not get any receipt for your msg, and will
be left wondering if they got it. If you have the means, send it as an attachment to E-mail (Feedback) to them asking to pass it on to the waiver
dept., and at the same time, send it via US mail to:
Directv Customer Service
Attn: Network Waivers
PO Box 70014
Boise, Idaho 83707
Be sure to keep a copy for your records. :)

that is the best way but it doesn't matter that you have a waiver, D* won't accept it. their new policy is no waivers period, no matter how you get it.

I don't know why they wouldn't except waivers. Where did you hear that, dgordo? That's a new one on me.

Asmith, if you haven't already sent your waiver it's a good idea to send it certified mail so you have proof they got it.

Your waiver is now useless unless DirecTV makes an exception for you. The new SHVERA law has removed waivers. I think people who have the distants are grandfathered for a certain amount of time, but if your locals are available on satellite you can NOT get distants. I think there are other issues as well, but I'm pretty sure your waiver will not get through.

Hmm, maybe that's why he finally got his waiver. The TV station doesn't want to be the bad guy.

So if he can't get an OTA signal at all he's out of luck if he wants to watch that network? That doesn't sound right, although par for the course.

I called my local fox station, located in Ocala Fl, and was told that waivers were now illegal.

Is your Fox Station O&O by FOX? If it is, you can get the distant Fox Network, including the HD feed.

Waivers are not illegal. They still are used, but in more limited situations.
