Greetings,

Recently installed the HR-250 and I love it. The one shortcomming is that it does not have an RF out port. I have alternate SD TV's that I would like to hook up using existing coax cable. I've tried to install an RF modulator which "should" take svideo or component output from the receiver and output the signal to rf coax cable, but I get nothing. Does anyone know what would cause this? or have a suggestion for me.

Thanks for your help.

To get a picture from the s-video or composit outputs you need to have the box set to output a 480i signal, if any other setting is used those ports are turned off.

The s-video port does not show any video unless you have set the HR-250 to 480i. That could be your problem. I have a combo vcr/dvd burner connected to the s-video jack which sends the picture via coax to an old tv. It works fine and I don't have to fire up my projector just to offload a program recorded on the Tivo.
