I recently purchased a RCA DVD435RH receiver. I receive local channels on the 72.5 satellite. BUt for some reason I can view the channel banner & see the guide for the locals I just can not see the video. I am in the Greenville?New Bern , NC market. I can see the video from all other satellite channels perfect. I can also receive the WB Station which is in my locals packsage but it is a feed from Florida.
When I try to use the Auto detect feature to detect the mutiswitch it just freezes & after about 5 min it say to try again because it didnt detect one.

I have a triple LNB satellite & a Dual LNB hooked to it. the Dual LNB is pointed at 72.5 satellite. A few months back a Directv installer installed a 4x6 multiswitch to make it all work. But the receiver doesnt detect a mulitdish either

SO what can I do so that I can get my locals & regular satellite at the same time???
I had a D10 that worked fine I just decided to switch because I loved the RCA program guide & info banner & its more user freindly

Your receiver may not have the latest software upgrade. Call D* and have them help you verify the software version. If it is an old version, they will give you the instructions on how to get the upgrade.

If you have a triple LNB dish and a 18" dish for local channels then you need a 6x8 multi-switch. Run all 4 lines down to the multi-switch from the triple LNB dish into the Sat 101 and Sat 119/110 inputs (doesn't matter what order). Run one line down from your 18" dish (72.5) and into flex port 1. You can only auto detect one receiver at a time. If you do not have HD or Spanish programing then you really don't need a triple LNB dish, so you can just run 2 lines down from your triple dish and use a 4x4 multi-switch. Run 2 lines down from your triple LNB dish into the Sat A on the 4x4 and 2 lines down from 72.5 into Sat B input on the 4x4. When the receiver auto-detects it will pick up 101 and 72.5. It won't detect 110 and 119 but you don't need thes unless you have HD or Spanish programing.
