I'm having a picture problem. Lines that should be straight are jagged. I know the problem is a Directv signal issue. The problem is stored to my tivo, and can be reproduced on the tv's.

I've changed all the connections, grounding blocks, replaced multiswitch, etc.

Only thing left is to try changing the LNB on the dish.

What could be causing this? I have my cables buried underground, could the snow and cold be causing this?

This is very frustrating, all help is greatly appreciated.
thanks.

im having the same problem. i have 3 hughes SD-HBH models and an older rca DRD type receiver. the hughes have grainy picture quality, jagged edges, and suffer from pixelization quite often. although ive never had the resetting issues as some describe. my older rca model has a perfect picture on all my tv's. ive did the change connections too, everything but the lnb.

my cables are buried underground also so given that my rca has great picture even when my hughes models dont, suggests buried cables couldnt be the problem. when i called direc about this they had me do the normal unplug routine and signal check. they had me check sat 101 trans #1&2 which the signal was 94 & 97. they said to call back if it didnt help. well it didnt help. they are sending a tech out wednesday to check things out. maybe they will replace the hughes receivers.

Well, I notice it most on both my Tivo's. I can pause them, and then it shows how bad the picture really is. Right now I'm watching the pregame show on HD and don't see any problems. I think I'm going to run new lines in the spring, that's the only thing I can think of, since everything else has been changed, except for the receivers.
