Tonight I scheduled NYPD to be recorded in HD from my OTA tuner. The timer started the recording, but did not stop (as Usual).

Selecting the recording from the DVR menu and telling it to "Stop" had no effect. Selecting the recording from the DVR menu, then selecting "View" caused the recording to stop, and playback to begin.

Wow! I can stop the recording...

WW

P.S. It did indicate "Unknown Record" for the show title, and Channel 77 for the channel number, after pressing View, but that cleared after I went to the guide and re-selected the channel, or re started the recording.

welchwarlock, I had a time set for the event you had problems with. I got the ZSR-Unknown Recorded Event. Were you able to view the event after it recorded? My post is listed here: http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=36722&page=4

Just channel up or down to another OTA channel during the recording. When the pop up message comes up, just follow the instructions to stop the recording and swithc channels.

When the recording stopped, it said NYPD Blue, 64 minutes, and I was able to watch it fine.
