Can anyone tell me what seems to be average signal strength for the 105 satellite? I've heard some comments about people around the area losing their locals on even just a cloudy day. I haven't had that happen yet but then I just installed the Superdish last Saturday. With that in mind I can't seem to lock onto a signal better then 43. I'm told it spikes to 60 while I'm up on the roof aiming it but it won't stay there so I'm just gonna stick with 43 until I find out what other people are getting. Thanks!

Average signal strength should be around 55-60. I am a DNSC tech for the Joplin region, and install them every day. The best way to tune 105 in this market is to peak out the 119, the move the dish ever so slightly to the left. Skew should be 104, elevation should be around 47.

i live in las vegas and have a superdish. on the 105 satellite, i can only get about 21 to 30 on my strenght meter but i can pick up all of the channels on that satellite. So if you are setting 50 to 60, man that is good. dont worry---be happy.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I tried aiming with my wife watching the meter while I was on the roof. Can't get her to stop talking long enough to actually read me the numbers so I've been using 2 phones: 1 at the receiver end and the other on the roof with me. I don't think the tone changes from 42 up to 60 so I'm gonna have to wait till I can get a friend of mine over that's done this before. At least I've got a target number now. :)
