Is random rebooting the first sign of hard drive problems? My HDTivo has rebooted twice in the past 7 days while I was watching it. Have not noticed any other problems.

Quite possibly, yes. I would highly recommend writing down all of your season passes and settings just in case.

Do you call Direct with these types of issues? I bought it last May at Circuit City, I don't use DVI and Do not have the extended warranty. I was going to sign up for the DirectTV replacement plan in May.
