I live in a Condo & presently have a regular E* Dish 500 aimed at the 110/119. I read in the OTARD rules (May 2001 ed.) that a dish can be up to 1m (39.37") in diameter to be protected under OTARD rules. Meaning, the Condo Assn. cannot prevent me from erecting it, as long as the dish is contained within my "exclusive" area (i.e. the porch). My dish presently falls within these specs and I am having no problems. It is 22" in diameter at its widest point.

I want to upgrade to a Superdish for programming reasons. Does anyone know how big these things are? Are they larger than 1 meter in diameter? Will the OTARD rules still apply?

Thanks in advance for all responses.

Will the OTARD rules still apply? It's approximately 36" by 20". 1m is approximately 39 inches so you would still be under the limit. Be warned thought that the dish is quite a bit heavier as well as has a higher wind load then a D500 reflector. Your current method of attachment may not be enough if you are using a simple tripod or bucket of concrete.
