remote conflict on 2 receivers

I have a Sony SAT-B50 receiver and a new RCA DWD490RE UltimateTV/DSS receiver and some of the Sony remote functions (like calling up Guide, changing channels, etc.) activate the RCA as well. Is there any way to correct these conflicts? I use one IR system throughout my house so that I can control and then view either receiver on any tv in the house so merely having them in different rooms will not help. I need to have the IR addresses be completely different. Any suggestions?

Well, you can get IR translators from companies like Niles Audio for situations like this. They are designed for people who have more than one product w/ the same IR RC.

However, they aren't cheap. Check the Niles WS or call (800)289-4434.
