I have a friend who will be getting a Dish 522 through SBC/Dish. Both TV1 and TV2 outputs on the ground floor will be used; TV1 will be using the S Video Output and TV2 will be connected most likely by coaxial cable to a TV set in the master bedroom. He will also be installing satellite receivers in two other rooms upstairs, most likely these will be 311 units.

My question has to do with a small 9" TV he has that he wants to sit on the top of his fridge in the kitchen (also on the ground floor). Is it possible to use a wireless audio & video transmitter and receiver with the 522 and the 9" TV? This 2.4ghz wireless system that Radio Shack sells is what I was thinking of suggesting: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F003%5F010%5F001%5F000&product%5Fid=15%2D2572

The TV has RCA jack audio and video inputs, and since his RCA video and audio out jacks on the 522 TV1 and TV2 will be unused, I was thinking this wireless setup would work. Is this feasible? Also, how would you tune the 9" TV? Would you need to use the respective TV1 or TV2 remote to change channels on this TV in the kitchen? Thanks in advance for your help.

This is possible on one condition. You friend uses the tv2 output of 533 to hook up the 9" tv on the fridge. The 522 uses a built in modulater to broadcast the signatl to the second tv. what this means is you set the 522 to send the rf signal on a select channel. This is set in the setup of the 522. Since this is the case, you can split the rf signal from tv2 ouput of the 522. One side to bedroom and second to 9"tv. The other way to do this is to use the video/audio rca jacks on the 522 for tv2 output. You might have better luck with this for the Radio Shack device.
