I've got one and since Friday it seems like the guide works really slow and when I switch between HD channels it takes longer for the picture to come up and when it does it tends to pixelate. It then looks normal and remains normal. I've had the box for a couple years so this is definitely something new and different.

The one noted problem for the TS-160 was overheating. If the receiver is a couple years old the components maybe failing from heat over time. I wish you luck with Samsung I sent a SIRT-151 in to them in November for a software upgrade, 5 months later I am still trying to get a working receiver from them. So far I've been shipped three defective replacements. Finally they decided to send a new SIRT451 but it's been three weeks and I still haven't seen it.

Actually I rebooted the receiver- turned it off and back on and let it download all the guide data, etc again- and now it is A OK. Not sure why I didn't think of that earlier. It used to lock up about once a week requiring a reboot and it hadn't happened in maybe 2-3 months so I guess I was out of that mindframe.

I have the exact same issue.

I have a feeling that it happens if you leave it on an OTA station overnight, when the station goes off-air. This used to be what hung the '160 completely, until they fixed the firmware so that it at least doesnt hang.

Its started for me fairly recently, at least that I know of. Might just be something I never noticed because I happened to not leave the receiver on an OTA channel overnight.

Reboot always fixes it. It happened to me last Friday (3/11/2005) as well (coincidence, or maybe not?). I just havent rebooted since. If I reboot tonight, Ill be sure to leave it on a non-OTA channel overnight, then Ill check tomorrow, reboot, and leave it on an OTA channel overnight and see if the issue comes back.
