Hi,all I was thinking about switching back to Directv now that enterprise is done. and wanted to know if any of the new DVR receivers had-the caller Id feature. My contract with dish is up and i got a good offer to go with Directv. Plus with D I will get all of the Cubs games. Max.

No none of the Directv DVRs have caller ID. You can get after market units that plug into the video lines if it is really important. Personally I use a cordless phone with caller ID built in.

What channel is the Cubs game on besides WGN or Fox Chicago? Is there another channel? BTW Max, have you listened to the 2 new guys they got doing the Cubs games? Personally, I hate them. I loved Stoney!!!! That was their worst move all year.

I have dish, but I don't get that....I think I might get it if I sign up for the sports package. Is comcast part of the sports package on directv?

I have UltimtateTV (which is no longer in production) and it has Caller ID. If you really need it, go to EBay, and do a search for UltimateTV. It is a great DVR with features the DTivo does not have. Anyway, the software upgrade we got in April 2003 included caller ID and folders.

BTW, Enterprise isn't quite over yet. There's still six episodes left according to TVTome.
