Mark why did you close my thread?
When I was in the market for an HD-DVR my local Dish rep made the statement that the 921 would record everything I want "just like the TIVO does".
I, like most other consumers, take what the dealer tells me as the truth. I don't come to "Charlie chats" (I don't even know what that is) and I don't have time to read the tech specs on every DVR on the market. So when an authorized dealer says the 921 behaves exactly like the HD Tivo behaves, I expect NBR. If this isn't something the authorized dealers should be saying, then Dish needs to work on their training program, because that's what I was told.
Now, I'm past 30 days on my contract and this thing is not performing at 1/2 the level of my old Tivo system. So the answer I get here is to lose an additional $250-400 to go back to DirecTV? That's unacceptable.
