I made the switch from d*** to cable about three years ago. After now realizing my mistake i'd like to switch back to d***. Would i be eligible for their free dish and free installation or would i not be considered a new customer? If not, does anyone know of an online retailer where i could get this offer?

Well believe it or not, You can go for that offer. 3 years is long enough. don't say anything about having been a customer if you go that way.

You could call Direct and have them look up or old account number and tell them you want to come back, They might give you free hook up anyway

I knew somebody that had directv and got behind on the bill they canceled his service then not even a few months he called for one of the free hook ups and to my shock they came out and hes got Direct again! Keep in mind this was before they started doing credit checks on people

No, three years isn't long enough, they will remember. I subscribed to DirecTV through Bell Atlantic before there was a Verizon. My account was through Bell Atlantic, not directly through DirecTV. When I resigned last year, they had my old account on record and I didn't qualify for a new subscriber package.

The Good News is that DirecTV will probably work with you to re sign you. At the time I signed again, the new subscriber package was a two room hookup. They couldn't directly offer me that, however they gave me one free STB and rebated the cost of the second one so for all intents and purposes the receiver was free. I wasn't allowed the three free months of programming, however they did throw in three months of Showtime.

I was wanting a 2 room hook-up. I wonder if they would give me 2 recievers with the APG? I have neighbors that still have their dishes who subsribe to cable so all i would need besides that is an approved 4x4 switch to tie in the 2 dishes.
