522 Questions ?

Just got a new 522 installed Sat..

Is it normal for a 522 reciever to be noisy??

I also have and had a 322 and didnt notice them to be noisy like this 522

My Smart Card lid it doesnt latch is this normal of is mine broken??

Why dont they give us a Smart Card to put in the slot ??

How noisy? There is a hard-drive inside and can be somewhat louder than a non-DVR receiver. The smart card is internal on this model (as well as the 322).

On the 522 you have both an internal fan and a hard drive that the 322 dosen't have so it will be nosier. If noise is excessive call DISH and complain. The smart card door should latch. Again call DISH and complain. Seeing these products are leased from DISH when a customer returns a system they can and are sent out to new customers after refurbishing, your may not have been completely done.
