View Full Version : Dish Depot
I know DBSTalk members are referred to Dish Depot for purchases. Do members receive any special pricing or other special consideration?

Sometimes, depending on what you're looking for. The primary reason we send users to Mark at Dish Depot is that we know that he'll take care of them very well.

Amen!! Got my 921 from him and he did a great job of taking care of me. Plus he's a small business and that holds a special place in my heart. These guys are the lifeblood of our economy. Give them your support.

An other seconding comment.
I've used Dish Depot several times. They not only have good prices but Mark provides answers & help. Currently have an order for new switch and LNBs in transit.

I haven't bought for a while from him, but I did buy two dishplayers from him. One was DOA, so he sent another one (and did the initial software download at my request so I didn't have to do a SW64 bypass to get it to work the first time).
About the only negative thing you can say is that he is very popular with this forum. When the 921 was being rationed there was a huge waiting list. I wound up going in another direction because I didn't want to wait 6 months, and Richard King rode to my rescue with an available unit.
But for items in plentiful supply, DishDepot has got great pricing and fast response (the two things that warm the cockles of our tech-loving hearts)

Bob - good point as I was in the 6 month queue until Mark Duffy at E*helped me out, but I don't see this problem so much Mark's as a reflection of E* distribution philosophy. If I were them, I'd give guys like Mark all the product they can handle given the valuable feedback E*'s getting from us end users via this forum. Nice symbiotic relationship, or at least it should be.

Once again, not a negative towards Mark...... just an acknowledgement that he is very popular here on this site. USUALLY there is sufficient product in the pipeline, but the HD Receivers have been allocated in scarce quantities, seemingly regardless for the size of their sales base, so it is something to think about when chasing a product being shipped in limited quantities.
Other than that, I concur that they are a pleasure to deal with.......

eBay works very well for all my Dish Network supplies. I purchased everything brand new for 1/3 of the price of Dish Network. I did not have any problem with any component from eBay.
In the past, some DBSTalk users have confused Mark with Mark, Mark and Marc.
Lest there be any more confusion among our loyal viewers, the 'Mark' at Dish Depot is 'Mark Schuetz', not to be confused with Mark Lamutt and Mark Holtz of DBSTalk fame, or Marc Lumpkin at DishNetwork.
DBSTalk.com has no legal or corporate connection with Dish Depot or it's owner, Mark Schuetz other than that of a friendly, cooperative relationship. Mark Schuetz has been, and continues to be a good friend of DBSTalk.com and its members. Mark Schuetz has generously donated satellite-related products to DBSTalk.com for award during our many DBSTalk.com contests and giveaways.
