Allow me to reexamine an old thorn in my side

I was on D*’s web site today and noticed them proclaiming DSL service available. Talk about opening an old wound! I was one of the original folks here in north Texas to sign up with D*’s terrestrial DSL service and also was one of the folks left high and dry when they decided to stop it (I can certainly emphasis with the Voom folks). After reading the link I realized that all D* was doing was redirecting you to one of the big carriers they had a deal worked out with (SBC noticeably missing) - but it just kind of irked me. Petty on my part? - Yes! But what the heck! :sure:

ahhhh, yes. I was one of those who got to read about it in an article before being notified by the company. what was worse, I had moved and they wouldn't give you a number to talk to anyone and D* kept insisting they were a seperate company and wouldn't help...so I was stuck paying for a month of service that I couldn't use until they pulled the plug on the whole thing.

Yes definately an old thorn in side ;)
