OK guys, I have one to share. This has been asked for before in other ways.

I have hooked up my 522 to backfeed it's TV2 into OTA of the 811. I do this so I can watch PVR'd shows without switching inputs and in general to simplify life for the non-techies of the house.

My request is simple, the 811 UHF Pro 8.0 will control the 522 TV2. However you have to change the remote address to correspond to that receiver. Others have asked for a second receiver button to be added so a second cable box, OTA rotor, etc. could be added. And this may have been requested before, But I think 1 button to toggle the remote address would make people like me happy as the UHF frequency is the same, and the remotes controls/layout is the same. If a toggle for addys existed you could toggle between 2 or more UHF capable E* receivers painlessly. Yes I agree it only takes 3 steps to accomplish this now, but again for the non-techies, like my young kids, I don't neccesarily want to teach them how to change remote device code addresses. I could see myself having to reprogram all my equipment everytime I went to use a remote.

A button doesn't seem to practical.

However if it's possible to incorporate the second uhf receiver via the aux button like the 942 remote does than maybe that would work.

So basically you have aux configured to the address of another receiver and you press aux and the remote is now on that receiver

.....for the non-techies, like my young kids.....I COMPLETELY understand that!! Would it be possible to obtain a 942 remote, and would it work with the 811 and 522? (I have no idea. You're smarter than us. ;) )

Not sure about being able to assign 2 UHF remotes to function as 1 without the use of IR though. The question I still ponder is if they independently addressable. What Bryan says will work if the remote is the same frequency and will hold independent addresses. The reason was thinking to have an address swap button is because with the addition of the ability to control additional receivers comes packing in more device codes. We have already lost some in the 7.0 and 8.0 versions. Though it could probably share between the modes. Then again what if you use your AV Receiver exclusively for sound and you wish to have volume control on that remote, the majority of users use aux for AV receiver/amp. Yes you can toggle it's use, again more than a couple steps. OK I admit I am likely over-analyzing the situation.

I'll have to look into the 942 remote.

The 942 TV2 remote is the 6.2 version, and can control an older UHF (non-Pro) receiver via UHF and IR though the AUX button.

Thanks Mark.

.....OK I admit I am likely over-analyzing the situation. ....Nope, just smarter than us. :) I guess a lot of people have been hollering about the 8.0 remote not being able to control their newer equipment, so maybe it's about time for a revision....
