What transponder to use in set up?

What is the best transponder to use during setup? I have an Rv and I was wondering if one is better than another. Thanks Ed

If you're talking about Dish Network, try 11 for 110° and 119°

I've noticed the spot beam transponder is a lot stronger than the national ones, so you would probably want to avoid a spot beam.

I can move my dish so that the national transponders are too weak to get a picture put still get a usable signal on the spot beam.
