I just want to let our friends at E* know that we're not letting this drop. With the lack of quality of "news" offerings on DISH Network we need quality news like CNN-International and BBC. Why haven't they explored an international news package where they might also include Deutsche Welle, CBC, Euronews, and other good international news channels! C'mon DISH!!! I would pay a reasonable fee for this.

So would I! CNN had wall to wall coverage coverage of that Florida woman who ran away because she didn't want to get married. They should have reported it once, and get back to more important news. Sadly CNN is going tabloid.
How many stations of news do you need?
c'mon dish please keep this channel off, don't add it :)

Concur. DISH, some of us ARE dropping this issue. Don't waste your bandwidth on another news channel.
I've been watching CNNi on VOOM since the regular CNN went with a rerun ad infinitum news format. CNNi is much more comprehensive
CNN handled the missing bride saga like it was the ONLY news story of the day. Several of their readers and talkers said the story had the most hits on the CNN website, which, in turn, gave it front-page positioning, which, in turn, gave it lead story status on the news.
It looks like CNN is now programming the news based on the popularity of a story.
There has been a definitive shift in news direction at CNN.

Maybe they could get rid of CNN Headline News and replace it with CNNi. Since they changed HN, it has been really annoying and is quickly coming CNN2.

We don't have any good ones. The rest of the world sees real news. CNN-International and BBC World do the best job of reporting news. It is not "dumbed down" like other "news" operations.

Tha would suit me fine. Headline news lost me when they changed their format and put too many things on the screen and too much soft "news."

I guess you like news that means nothing, especially for hours on end.
How many stations of news do you need?
Just one, provided it's heard of Zimbabwe.

The point being, CNNi news is a different angle of broadcasts that domestic CNN doesn't give us. Moreoever, I like it because it was one of the few stations where at the early hours of the day (or really late hors of the evening), had a good live broadcast going...
