942 install without remote #1

My 942 was shipped to me without remote #1. It's being shipped to me but will arrive after the install which is scheduled for tomorrow. Can remote #2 be used until remote #1 arrives? If not, is the install even possible without remote #1?

Both my remotes work if I am in single mode, so I think you will be fine.
