So ther is one thing that I like better about the 921 then the 942 and that is the output to a/the second TV.

With the 921 if you were watching a HD program or recorded HD show it would letter box the show (like a DVD) and everything looked and fit nicely on the screen.

With the 942's current software, the output to the second TV is squished with black bars on the left and right for SD material and HD material is, well just not watchable (IMO) with parts of the screen on all sided cut off and stretched. (Think TNT)

Hey Mark...is this on the short list of items to be fix soon?

I really hope so. I've made a great deal of noise about it...I'm sure you saw it prominently in my review and on the bug tracking list.

The fix requires a new Broadcom driver...

In the meantime, this bug only exists in single user mode. In dual user mode, the programs are letterboxed.

Mark,

I find this issue to be worse than you describe in your bug thread. It's not just downconverted 16:9 programming. Even 4:3 channels like CNN display incorrectly (i.e.. w/black bars) on TV2.

And the million dollar question, any idea of a timeframe for a fix?

Not that I can say anything about yet.
