View Full Version : Program Continues To Play After Stop
Mark:
For the past year my 921 has worked ok with the normal problems associated with it. Recently I have had a new problem and wonder if it has bit the dust.
When I play a recorded show and then stop it mid way through and then cancel out of it, it still shows that it is playing with an arrow next to it on program list. When I try to record two shows, it only allows me to record one. The only way I can get rid of it is to either erase the program or power cord reboot. Any idea what is going on.
Did you press the red-center stop button, which only does a break back to the list. Or did you got to DVR, select show, and press stop tab, which stops recording?
It is sure a lot safer that the stop button dose not stop recording as it did in olden days. Then you would be watching one show and stop the recording of another.

Just to be clear my problem is not stopping the recording. It is stopping the playback. Try it again last night and it did the same thing. Would clear the playback but doing STOP and then CANCEL. The program still acts as if it is playing back.

When playing back a pre-recorded program the STOP button should return you back to the DVR list. Sometimes the response is very slow and you may have to wait minutes for the action to take. That delay is a known bug that comes and goes. Reboot usually helps but hopefully the next software update should address that problem.

Thanks. I am talking about days here not minutes or seconds. I would come back the next day and it would still show playing back.
Reboot does help but I am now having to reboot each time I do this. Didnt have to do that before so dont know what has happened. Worked fine after last software update and this problem has just surfaced in last few weeks.

That's really weird. So far I've only seen delays occur for as long as two minutes. Generally it has happened during DVR mode but sometimes when scanning channels (especially OTA locals). If it had ever lasted any longer then that I've always rebooted because I'm impatient.
