AskDBSTalk: how to hookup 942 replacing 811&522 combo

I have a 522 hooked to a Dish 500 and an 811 hooked to the 500 and a dish 300 (CBS HD 61.5). Single Coax to the back of 811 and 2 Coax to the back of 522.

Both the 811 and 522 are coming out and the 942 will go in to replace.

My Question: To hookup the 942 do I just unhook the coax from the 811 and hook it to one of the inputs on the 942 and then unhook the 522 and take one of it's Coaxes and hook it to the other input on the 942??

That won't work, Richard because both inputs on the 942 must be seeing the exact same satellite configuration. We'll need more information about what your switch and lnb equipment is before anyone can offer a specific suggestion to make your install work.
