wheeling wv locals

Does anyone know if the wheeling wv locals are ever going to be on Dish. from what i understand there are just 3 channels. cbs nbc and pbc. A buddy of mine installs dish and he hopes they come online sometime soon because it will greatly increase his business in this area. also are significantly viewed neighboring stations on Dish's agenda to add them.

There are really only two full powered channels in Wheeling. The PBS is LP,so Dish would not have to carry them, however, since WVPTV is already up in other markets, they probably would carry them. The problem with Wheeling is that it is a very small market surrounded by other megamarkets ( Cleveland and Pittsburgh). That means that there may not be any transponder space for additional channels there. And few people would probably be satisfied with getting only CBS and NBC on LIL when they can also get ABC, FOX, WB, and UPN on cable. THe new "significantly viewed" law, will probably help there since Dish will be able to bring in the missing channels from Pittsburgh, I think. I'm sure Dish will eventually provide LIL in Wheeling once these issues are resolved, but it could be a while....
