So I could be home in time, usually I work until 8pm, but tonight it's 7:30 so I can watch them wrap up this season.
Thanks for the heads up, Laverne. I just finished tuning every tv and receiver to FOX. My neighbor just ran home to do a few chores so she can get back in time. It's usually dark, so I've drawn the room-darkening black curtains and opaque aluminum minis in order to simulate darkness.
Please, no calls during the showing of the season finale of 24. It's a small thing I ask.

It's VERY tempting to give you a call this evening, Nick.
Go ahead, Richard. It's always good to hear from you! ;)

As Jack walks off into the morning sun, the end theme from the Incredible Hunk TV series is heard.
Saves the world and is now a wanted man in the US and China...that's gratitude for ya!

One of the nights when a multi-tasking DVR pays off. While I wouldn't miss the season ender, my 18 yo wants to watch Oprah so she can see Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. For once she deferred to me and is letting me tape Oprah.
Of course if I had my druthers, I'd be bugging Nick with a couple of telemarketing phone calls. Can give you one hell of a deal on a couple of slightly used Veggi Matics.

Next January, it will be several years later. A new prez will be in office, and he will come back in secret with a full pardon.
I just hope that little punk Logan is nowhere around. I don't even "love to hate" him, just hate him. :nono2: :barf:
Maybe Novick will be the new prez. :D
BTW, has anybody noticed that the black girl CTU spy from the beginning of this season has showed up in CSI in the lab? Can't bring myself to like her either, even though she's supposedly one of the good guys now, albeit, on another show.
After 23 hours and 11 minutes of suspense, that is the best ending they could come up with? I'm disappointed. Really disappointed.
At least I had TAR, Survivor, Desperate Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy that had great season finales.

While I gotta admit I like 24's action, for the most part it's got weak characters outside of a small handfull at the core. One of the things that undermines the plausibility of it all. 24 pales in comparison to a show like the West Wing.
After 23 hours and 11 minutes of suspense, that is the best ending they could come up with? I'm disappointed...Once the missile was shot down, almost everyone was like "ho hum, back to work". Jack's house arrest and escape was too predictable. I almost expected the final scene to fade to black & white as a forlorn Richard Kimball, I mean Jack Bauer, walks off into the Long Beach sunset, er, sunrise.
A good season overall.
Cya in January!

^*^*&%*%.
Man, you and I must be sharing a brain lately. You beat me to the punch...line.
I started laughing when I saw the ending, becuase I was thinking Bill Bixby all the way. The tagline would fit Jack as well.
"Don't make me angry....... you wouldn't like me when I'm angry....."
The obvious is for it some somehow leak that the Chinese shot their own diplomat - which I'm sure they'll find out as soon as they do an autopsy on him in the morning. The Chinese will want to hush it up.

The Chinese will want to hush it up.Yes, but it still doesn't change the fact that Jack & Co broke into the consulate and kidnapped a foreign citizen. It's the equivilent of running into China and doing the same thing. Politically, it's a big no-no.
I kept thinking that, since the missile blew up with about 45 minutes remaining, that Jack would sneak aboard the freighter where whats-his-name was going to be hauled back to China and rescue him. You don't really think the Chinese held up their end of the bargin and released him did you? The Chinese couldn't accuse the US of doing anything without admitting that they had kidnapped a US citizen, "extradited" him, all without informing the US government.
"I almost pee-ed my pants when the first one went over Jack's head. I actually thought it was the nuclear missle. But the way it sounded with my surround sound made it seem like it was coming from right behind me. I was freaking..."
- Grace7375, from FOX's 24 Fan ForumOh, the joys of surround. :)
