I ordered the 10 hd channels last night and after I did that I lost 61.5 somehow? I have a model 6000 receiver, dish 500 + dish 300 hooked to a SW-64 switch. before I ordered the new channels I seen them in my guide and they was red when I ordered them they where no longer red and when I would select one it would give me a error message saying possible missalignment, bad weather, check switch problem etc etc. so I checked my connections outside to make sure they where tight and when I ran the check switch 61.5 totally disappeared. I called dish tech support lastnight and we tried reseting the switch, changing the cables around on the SW-64 and I got my compass out to make sure the dish was aimed right and still no luck. i have been scheduled for an appointment for Friday to have it checked out but I would like to be able to save $50 for a service call and solve it out with some help from this forum if possible. any help would be appreciated.

Do you have software version 826?
What switch does the Switch test say you have?
What is your location?

Try feeding the 61.5 dish DIRECTLY to your receiver with a replacement cable. if the receiver doesnt see the channels then the box is bad

or take your box to a buddys who has 61.5 and try your receiver there

Did you do a power off reset on the receiver?

software version is 826pcndd-n
switch test says I have sw-64
Kentucky is my location
I tried new cables between 61.5 and the switch made no difference but have not tried it directly to the box
I did do a power off reset on the receiver
I also had a spare lnb in my garage and I tried replacing it and it made no difference.

If I take my box to my back porch and hook it directly to the 61.5 do I do I set up anything different in the point and signal menu?
Any other suggestions?

Try clearing your switch setup by running a check switch with NO wires attached. Then hook it directly to the 61.5 to verify signal. Then hook it back up to the SW64 and do the test. Good luck.
