522 - L2.36 Software Release Notes and Discussion

1.) Adds enhancements for audio/video sync performance
(from Mark - I have no idea if this means they fixed it or not...)

2.) Adds functional improvements for interactive features that will be introduced once the software has been fully deployed.
(from Mark - I assume this is referring to "Enhanced TV" that people are talking about, but I don't know for sure.)

I got the 522 about 2 weeks ago. I have had a few problems with pixelation for a split second a couple of times. I emailed Dishnetwork and they replied to me that the update version 2.36 will be out "soon" and that it will fix that problem. The lady who replied was Heather.
Other than this small problem I love the unit.

You aren't the first person to state that Dish has told them that software upgrades will fix this nuisance. We can only hope that this time they are right.

I just spoke with Dish Tech and they confirmed that L236 should be out in a couple of weeks. She said that it is suppose to fix the audio and video issues plus the hard drive diagnostic (599) screen issue. Let's hope that this will correct all these problems

wonder what new troubles these fixes will bring?:(:(

I get pixels, occasional audio sync issues, and major name based timer misses:(

We deleted all the cant miss timers, and put them in as regular timers.

left twilight zone as name based, I have seen them all so a miss doesnt matter

Since I received L236 I have not had one single audio sync issue. It has been 4 days! Prior to L236 I was experiencing the audio sync issue multiple times every night.

Has anyone seen release notes on 2.36? I have it now but haven't heard what all was changed.
