I'm upgrading to Dish 500 tomorrow

my first post. i currently have the 4000 model with dual lnb. i called Dish and informed them that DirectTv is offering a free system. since i don't have a long term contract with Dish, they initially offered the upgrade for $50. to make a long story short, i'm getting the upgrade free of charge. i also got the special promotion of free cinemax for 6 months. i'm happy :) .

i've been paying for HBO since august and only receiving 6 channels (paying for the full 8 channels). not too happy about that.

in any case, they got the message and i'm getting the upgrade for free.

Well done. ;) You'll get some more ppv channels and public interest channels as well with the dish 500.

If you don't have any use for the old dish 300, you can always sell it at the "Buy, Sell and Trade" forum located here too!

If you sub to the AT150 you'll get a boatload more channels including 7 movie channels, Discovery channels, etc.
