How do Atlas and Proton SLVs compare to the SLVs and missiles that they showed on

the news? Are the Atlas and Proton SLVs that Echostar uses from International Launch Services better or worse than all the missiles and SLVs they've been showing on the news lately? Like on Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, etc they always show some tests of some Pakistan missiles called Ghauri2 or Ghauri3 or something. They also show some Israel Shavit SLV launching some spy satellite or something.
Are the Atlas and Proton SLVs that International Launch Services uses more or less advanced than those missiles and SLVs on the news?
BTW, when's the Echo8 launch and what SLV will it be on from where and will it be televised on Channel 101?

To add my 2 cents... E7 used a new booster, wasn't it the Atlas III? It was a beautiful launch.
