XM Satellite Radio experienced what appears to be sporadic - and apparently temporary - glitches with its satellite-delivered radio service Wednesday night, in which multiple audio channels went off the air, according to XM listeners contacting SkyREPORT.
The glitches, confirmed after contacting XM's customer support center, was being addressed by technicians late Wednesday night. Some customers were told that the service would be restored within a couple of hours. At last check with one affected subscriber, some of the channels were restored to the service.
An XM spokesperson contacted late Wednesday night about the glitch had no immediate comment.
XM launched its satellite-delivered service in the fall, and has enrolled more than 30,000 customers.
