Hooked up dc block and the attenuator right after that. Then hooked up the power supply for the pre amp. No difference in signal strength but lost my strongest stations. So I took out the attenuator and left the dc block in. Hooked that directly to my power supply and WOW. Great strength on all channels. It is raining heavy here with wind that would normally cause pixing in several channels, but not now. Pulling in distant PBS from South Carolina and ABC from Greensboro NC, 80 miles away. This in a heavy rain storm with trees surrounding my entire house.

So, the dc block is, or seems to be the key. Hook one up and plug in those pre-amps. I am not getting the slightest over-ride from strong close by stations in the same area. So I don't know what effect the 12 volts produced by the 942 does, but it isn't good. I am literally getting the same readings as with the Sony internal tuner.

Funny thing on my other issue. I installed the attenuator on the 6 feet of coax that has the UHF antenna attached for TV 2, and now it works great. Go figure, at least my day ended well. take care all and kill that 12 volts.
