the 942 got another update today.
So I decided to see how many updates each box has gotten since the last time the 921 got updated (which was just a DST fix)
522/625:4
942:3
501/508/510:2
811:2
311:2
301-013:2
322:2
301-010:1
6000:1
7100/7200:1
2700/2800/3700:1
You can certainly see who's getting the most attention

Does anyone know how many 921 users are out there? I wonder if we're the smallest user base out of all the DISH receivers.

Yes, it's very sad.
I wouldn't even count the DST fix as an update (that was to fix 1 specific unexpected problem). I'd say the last real update was when the Local Guide data was added (and many new problems began).
What was that? 6 Months ago?
People say we whine too much. I'm not sure how we could whine any less. I'm still hoping for a rapid mpeg 4 roll out. I think that's our best chance.

According to DonLandis footnote record, March 1 was the release month for L212 which fixed the jitters. This release was an emergency type fix as I recall. L211 was around Dec. Question. Have any of the past two updates really been beneficial?

The December update added the small revenue generator for E*, aka, OTA guide data for $5.99? a month. Some paid the ransome and others like me refused to pay for guide data. Those who needed locals got the bonus. If you can get SD locals and you get them by E*, you are paying for a free service.
Anyway. the December update added that feature but broke the video with the stutters and frozen aspect ratio in stretch mode. The March L212 update fixed the Jitters. Some still have the frozen AR but mine seems to be fixed as I now have real NORMAL view on SD channels.
All in all, OTA guide data for a price was the ONLY feature added to the 921 since its beginning. During that time advertised features dropped were Dishwire and NBR as said to no longer being a future feature but removed from development.
