DVR 921 and Dish HD34-310 monitor aspect question.

hi folks, i had a DishDVR 921 and a DISH HD34-310 monitor installed today.

the dish guys who did it were, uhm, not to up on some of the settings. so i'm wondering from the experts here who also might own a 921 DVR and a DISH HD34-10 monitor:

can you please tell me what is the correct Display Setup (Menu -> 6 -> 9) OUTPUT MODE is supposed to be?

1080i or 480p?

when i select 1080i, and then punch up the GUIDE, if i am watching say, 9423 HDNMV, in the guide listing display: the 9 is not at all visable -- it's somewhere off the left side of the screen and the half of the remaining 4 is missing. down on the bottom (7 lines down, channel 9486) all of the 4 is now showing, but none of the 9.

any ideas what's going on here and what adjustments/setting(s) i need to be correctly configured?

ps: i have the TV TYPE in the Menu -> 6 -> 9 DISPLAY SETUP set to 16 x 9 -- hope that's correct also.

Set it to 1080i, then get into the engineering guide for teh TV and adjust the display size. Search here for 34" CRT and you should find it. It is done by powering on TV while holding one of the down buttons, but I don't remember which one...

You can also adjust the 921's output as well buy going to Menu, 4,2. Then press the More button. On this screen you can adjust the position of the overlay.
