942 no ABC OTA in Los Angeles

I got my 942 yesterday, scanned the OTA digital locals - my 942 can't get ABC, all other locals are fine. I used to get ABC on my 811 with no problems. Anyone else in the LA area having problems with the 942 and ABC?

Also, I tried adding locals manually but that doesn't work on any channels. Did anyone try adding locals manually? Did it work?

ABC in SoCal seems to be having some issues. I lost the mapping on my 811 with ABC last night. It actually resulted in my favorites being corrupted and I had to reset my 811 to factor defaults and re-enter my favorite lists.

I would not use ABC as a model for OTA in SoCal at the moment. I have not checked my 921 lately, I will but the 921 OTA mapping is much more static than the 811s mapping.

I did try a manual Add with ABC OTA and got no mapping info. THis has happend before with ABC in SoCal and it usually corrects after a day or so.

Are you having any issues with your 811 and ABC right now? If so, what version are you running on your 811?

I am having the same problem in Los Angeles as well. There have been some postings in 226 software thread on the topic.

Guys, thanks for the info, it's good to know that I'm not the only one having problems - I initially thought that my 942 was defective. I deactivated my 811 so I don't know if the 811 also has problems with ABC.

I have a Panny 42PD25 plasma and it gets OTA ABC but on channels 53-1, 53-2, 53-3 instead of 7-1, 7-2, 7-3. The 942 gets nothing on channels 7-1, 7-2, 7-3 or 53-1, 53-2, 53-3. I guess that the Panny has a better OTA tuner than the 942.

That confirms what I am seeing Nicu, ABC SoCal is not sending mapping data. THey might be sending something not consider legit and some boxes are handeling the malformed situation while the 942 is having issues with it. THis has happend with the 811 before and the other STB receivers. ABC SoCal might not be playing nice in the sandbox.
