I have a 62" Toshiba DLP that will not power up if the 921 is plug in. Has anyone else had this trouble? If i unplug the tv it will reset and will come on until the next time. I have unplugged the 921 and it power ups all the time. I will plug the 921 into another circut and see if that help or if the 921 is just to close to the tv and causing some kind of problem.

Any TV guru's out there....Thanks Bruno

I joined this forum just so I could reply to your question. I definitely feel your pain. I am now on my third 52" Toshiba DLP because the service personnel from the store where I bought my TV, along with Toshiba's tech support, could not determine the problem of my TV not powering up without being "reset". It wasn't until I concluded that the problem wasn't with my TV (3 defective TVs?) but a compatability issue with my other components. I disconnected the HDMI cable from the TV and my problem was solved! I have to use the component I/O ports, but my problem is fixed. I just discovered this today and haven't had a chance to fully test my new configuration, but I am confident this problem will not return.

Yes thanks for ur reply i just got back from fixing the problem and like you said it was the DVI to HDMI cable. It kind of my fault becase if you read it says that not all HDMI cables will work but that was the last thing i changed out and it started to working.

I know what ur feeling i also have had 3 different DLP shipped in to fix this problem. After installing the 3 DLP and it not working the customer was gone all weekend and i have been screwing with this for two days but now its working. Below is what i posted on the other sites after fixing the problem.

thanks again...Bruno

The local banker called me wanting a top notch system and had been to best buy and knew what all he wanted. He wanted a Toshiba 62 DLP and a Toshiba home sound system ( Best Buy's Top notch ) like Best Buy had sold him on. When i give him my price on and he told me he wanted to order it and I ask him if he wanted to use good cables and he said you bet. Well i got it all in and ordered RCA Ultimate cables to get it all hooked up. I go over to install it all and he has been to Best Buy again and got all monster cables and surges including a Monster DVI to HDMI cable. He would not let me use any thing else.

The problem has been the Monster DVI to HDMI cable. I moved the HD reciever today and it was still not working right and took out the Monster cable and hooked up componet cables and the problem is gone. I think there must have been shome kind of voltage getting from the receiver to the TV via the DVI to HDMI cable. I hope this will help others because I been screwing with this thing two days and we have put in 3 different Toshiba DLP thinking it was a TV problem.

My hats off to DSI for sending me out other tv to keep this customer happy. I might keep at least one of the other DLP they sent me. The pic looks great on HD but not sure i like it any better on the SD channels over my 57h83 RP toshiba.

After fixing it and reading the Toshiba manual and it says that " not all HDMI cables will work with the system"

Well thanks again for caring.
