View Full Version : [img]
I noticed today that I am unable to use the [IMG] code. I scrolled down and under Posting Rules it is turned off when I am in Potpourri, but I seen that here in the Admin forum it is on. What's up?

I believe it was abused so much in the Potpourri forum that we had to turn it off. We can turn it back on for a bit to see what happens but no promises if it will stay on.

Can you turn on [img] code for Signatures?
IIRC, it was decided a while back by admins and mods that turning on the [img] code feature in Signature would be an unwise idea. Recent excesses of the signature feature appear to have validated the wisdom of that decision.
Nice try! :D

You said "Nice Try!" like I knew that, that had already turned down...I had No Idea. I was just asking a reasonable question.

Sorry John. No IMG codes in signatures. We really don't want to go there. :)
I support you in limiting IMG and length in sigs. I really get bugged on forums where a post will be a line or two, and the sig is half a page.

Ditto. There is no reason for images in signatures. Signatures are supposed to be short tag lines, witty sayings or something informative. Not an 800x600 graphic. On forums that allow graphics in sigs, I disable signatures in my user CP, it’s annoying and pointless.

No big deal...Thanks anyway!
