FCC Changes Rule [Archive]

It my understanding that today June 9, 2005 the FCC changed the rules and has moved up its deadline for the DTV tuners to be in by JUNE 2006. I was looking and reading about this at the FCC website. www.fcc.gov
It looks like changes are coming faster insread of later.

No, the original requirement was this July I think...

It's actually been moved up to March 1st, 2006 for TVs 25"-36" in size.

I thought the digital deadlines were all extended to 2009. Was that extension just for tv broadcasters?

One is the deadline for manufacturers to put tuners ina certain size set. the other isa deadline for discontinuing OTA analog brodcasts.
