The Consumer Electronics Association, which wants to sell lots of digital stuff ASAP, commissioned a survey that says that less than 34 million TV sets in the US are used to view OTA programming. That's a sharp contrast to the National Association of Broadcasters' estimates that 73 million sets exclusively receive OTA.

The NAB cited a federal report stating that 21 million US households rely exclusively on OTA programming.

Personally, I have at least three TVs that are used exclusively for OTA. I find the CEA estimate difficult to believe.

I thought that sounded low. We have four TVs, three hooked to E & a 13" Sony with rabbit ears, (on life support) never used now.
