Can anyone confirm that since my SW64 allows for up to 4 receivers to be connected, can I simply use 2 of those "output to receiver" from the SW64 to connect to the 2 tuners of the 942 receiver. Would this work???
Please no mention of , " WHY NOT JUST GET A DPP TWIN LNB?" Cause its not that easy living on the island (if you know what I mean :) ) Here we have to use what we have...
Yes, the SW64 should work fine with the 942. The only reason that folks would suggest an upgrade to DPP equipment would be if running a second coax from the switch to your receiver location was difficult.

Thanks bud. A second coax is not a problem at all. One is already there that I used while I was subbed to DirecTV.

Both units will work even better and faster when you change to DishPro Plus and install a DPP44, trust me, I've replaced my SW64 and can not be any happier.

Well, the DPP stuff is newer - that's true; however, both the wife and myself are fully satisfied with our SW64 arrangement and would not change it out just for the sake of change. BTW, I would wager you will just love the 942 - we sure do!

I do like the 942 very much and I have to agree with you that I was very hessitant about changing from the sw64 to the newer DPP. I was advised by Dish to make the change since there would not be any charge. The 921 BTW seems to work better.
